610 million people are at risk to contract the disease that vaccination campaigns a half century ago had nearly eliminated.
The disease, named after the coloration that comes with it in the form of jaundice is again receiving the attentions of a massive vaccination campaign. 48 million people are scheduled to get the vaccine in the next four years.
A recent reduction in the vaccinations against it have allowed for a resurgence in the disease and it currently kills about 30 000 people a year, almost all of them Africans.
